Port Wine Stains

A port wine stain or "nevus flammeus" is a discoloration of the skin caused by a vascular anomaly, so usually a pink or red colour. A port wine stain is actually a type of birthmark which appears like a splash of red on the skin. Though they often start out looking mostly pink at birth, port wine stains tend to become darker, usually a reddish-purple or dark red, as you age.

Thread Veins
